TÜV THÜRINGEN provides assistance in assurance of railway transport quality and safety including:

• technical supervision of the production of goods for the railway industry, elements of the railway infrastructure, rolling stock and other products
• laboratory testing
• interoperative testing (including: geometry, process parameters; supervision of anti-corrosion protection and welding processes; non-destructive testing; participation in VT, PT, UT, MT and RT)
• certification of welders and organization according to EN 15085, EN ISO 3834, EN 1090 standards
• acceptance and periodic inspection of units for transportation of dangerous goods according to ADR/RID, bearing π mark according to 2010/35/ EU (TPED).

Projects:
• supervision of the production of passenger vehicles for high-speed railway (ICE 4) and regional railway (CORADIA Lint) to the order of Deutsche Bahn
• services provided to Bombardier Transportation Wrocław (ICE 4) and Alstom Katowice (Lint)
• acceptance of railway surface components (e.g., rails and sections) for ArcelorMittal Poland
• certification of welders and the company according to EN ISO 3834 standard for HITACHI ABB Power Grids.
